Part of Daredevils set-up since 2016

Abhishek was part of the Daredevils’ trial when he was yet to turn 17. He was in the training squad at the age of 16.

However, the aspiring batsman was denied a chance due to his stateside Punjab’s non-approval. They felt that exposing a young to Twenty20 cricket so early will hamper his technique.

What does he do?

So much so, Abhishek is a powerful lower middle order batsman. Besides that, he is a fast and accurate left-arm spinner. He led India to victory in the U-19 Asia Cup in 2016.

However, the rising star was replaced by Prithvi Shaw months before the 2018 U-19 World Cup. Despite his captaincy being stripped off, Abhishek continued to remain an integral part of the squad.
