The senior of the Pathan brothers, Yusuf Pathan, expressed his gratitude to Kolkata Knight Riders, as he parted ways with the two time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions.

Sunrisers Hyderabad availed the services of Yusuf Pathan after roping him for 1.9 crores in the auctions.

Yusuf has entertained the fans with his hard-hitting capabilities over the years in whichever team he had played for. A World Cup-winner, a three-time IPL winner, Yusuf remains an indispensable part of the IPL.

Hyderabad has been performing well for the last few years under VVS Laxman, Tom Moody, and Muttiah Muralitharan. Notably, Sunrisers won the 2016 edition of the league by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.

Pathan took to Twitter to thank KKR, where he played for the last seven years. On the same note, Pathan expressed he is excited to be a part of the Orange Army.

It was a lovely journey with @KKRiders for the last 7 years, would like to thank them for everything. Excited to be a part of the #OrangeArmy now @SunRisers #IPL2018Auction,” Pathan tweeted.

The hard-hitting middle order can fit in very well into Hyderabad’s scheme of things, as the team lacked a middle-order player for a long time now. With Pathan in the squad, they will be one of the top contenders in the tournament.
