IPL 2019: Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Singh Excited For Yuvraj Singh In Mumbai Indians

Ahead of the IPL 2019 Auctions, Yuvraj Singh bidding was the intriguing factor. However, it wasn’t the case during the auction, as none of the franchises went after him in the bidding. He went unsold in the first round but later, Mumbai Indians recalled his name and bought at a base price of INR 1 Crore. Meanwhile, the Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Ranveer Singh are excited with the signing.

Not only the Bollywood stars but also Mumbai setup is quite happy to get the services of Yuvraj Singh at such a low price. The experts termed that it was the greatest steal in the history of IPL auctions, as everyone aware of Yuvraj’s calibre.

Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani said the three-time champions weren’t expecting to buy Yuvraj Singh and Lasith Malinga at their base prices at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 auction on Tuesday in Jaipur.

Revealing the plan, he said that they wanted to get experienced players at the auction to complement the budding youngsters in their camp. Ambani said Yuvraj’s purchase at his base price of Rs 1 crore was the biggest steal in the history of the franchise’s IPL auctions.

“Yuvi [Yuvraj] and Malinga were crucial players for us at the auction. We were fortunate to get those two players. To be honest, I was thinking on the basis of experience. We retained a lot of young players. And then entering this auction, we wanted to buy a few young players. But the agenda was to focus on experience a lot,” Ambani told Star Sports.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh replied to Mumbai Indians’ tweet. He wrote “OUUUH YIEEEAH.” Earlier, actor Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted for the all-rounder by quoting ”Common, Yuvraj Singh”.
