Royal Challengers Bangalore had another forgettable season as they could only win five matches out of the 14 they played. Consequently, they are currently at the seventh position in the points and have ended as the wooden spooners once again. In fact, the performance of some of the players was not up to the mark and the team had to pay the hefty prize.

In fact, Virat Kohli‘s led side lost the first six matches of the season and it was always going to be impossible from there to qualify for the playoff stages. On the other hand, RCB had a better second half of the season as they won five matches in the next eight matches. Moreover, one match ended in No Result when rain played killjoy.

Here are the three players who could be released by the franchise in the next season.

The Hyderabad based fast bowler was always expensive for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Siraj played nine matches for RCB and scalped seven wickets. The fast bowler bowled 169 balls on which he conceded 269 runs. Thus, he gave his runs at a sky-high economy rate of 9.55. Furthermore, he bowled with a poor average of 38.43 and strike rate of 24.14.

Consequently, Mohammed Siraj could be one of the players who can be shown the exit doors by the franchise. Moreover, Siraj execution in the death overs was poor as he went for runs all-round the park. Furthermore, Mohammed Siraj was also poor in the field.

The Uttar Pradesh captain Akshdeep Nath can also be released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The right-hander got five opportunities to impress with the bat but could not hit the straps with his performance. Nath scored only 61runs in the five innings at a mundane average of 12.20. The right-hander scored his runs at a strike rate of 107.02 and could not add the finishing touches to the team’s innings.

Thus, Nath could be the second player who could be released by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Colin de Grandhomme

The New Zealand all-rounder also disappointed with his renditions. Colin de Grandhomme could only amass 46 runs in the four innings. The right-hander scored his runs at an average of 15.33 and strike rate of 93.88. However, the medium pacer didn’t a chance to bowl much for RCB.

Grandhomme is known for the big shots but could not get going with the bat in the 12th season of the league. Consequently, the New Zealand all-rounder can be released by the franchise.
