Meanwhile, the southpaw has backed Rohit Sharma as one of the terrific captains. They had an excellent companionship as they played a lot of cricket together for India.

In an interview for his new franchise, Mumbai Indians, Yuvraj spoke about various aspects of Sharma. He spoke starting from his career, as an opener to add his name for multiple records.

“Yes, I think Rohit is a terrific captain, and he is someone who keeps his nerves pretty calm. You know, I have seen Rohit grow in front of me as a player, a cricketer and as a human. I think he is one of the best examples of a human being I have seen throughout a bunch of cricketers. He is definitely one of the greats in ODIs and a very humble human being,” Yuvraj Singh said.

Moreover, the 37-year-old talked about his experience of playing with Rohit Sharma. However, he is delighted to be part of the Mumbai franchise.

“We share a great camaraderie, and hopefully it works on the field, and you know, just really looking forward to playing under him,” he added.

Furthermore, the Punjab cricketer also reckons the magnificent Wankhade Stadium where he played the 2011 World Cup. It was the happy moment for him, as it was also the last World Cup for Sachin Tendulkar.

“It is a very emotional and strong place for any Indian cricketer, so I think I’m very excited and ecstatic to play in front of the Mumbai home crowd. As I said, hopefully, it should go well for us,” Yuvraj Singh concluded.

Yuvraj Singh is looking forward to this one because he wants to go guns blazing. However, he is working hard towards it and will try to deliver goods for the team.
