Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2020 contest at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. KKR will come in to the match at the back of a loss against Delhi Capitals in their previous game while CSK made a thunderous comeback to register a 10-wicket win in their last match.

A win will be important for both the teams in the match as KKR will consolidate their position in the top four while CSK, after a poor start, will enter the top-half of the table for the first time in IPL 2020. KKR captain Dinesh Karthik was under scrutiny for some poor decisions and will look to get the monkey off his back. The team management has backed Sunil Narine to open the batting with Shubman Gill despite the challenges he has faced at the top of the order. Rahul Tripathi will be another player to watch out for after his splendid knock in the previous game.

CSK look like a rejuvenated side after their win the previous game. The MS Dhoni-led side made a statement in their previous game with a 10-wicket win. The will look to add on to their winning momentum with another win in the IPL 2020. Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson will once again be the key in the CSK batting line-up while Deepak Chahar will look to pick up early wickets for the side.

The major concern playing in the UAE will be heat. A lot of foreign players are not habituated to playing in such conditions. However, local Indian players might tackle the heat as they have played under such conditions in the sub-continent.

The weather on the match day is predicted to remain around 31 to 33 degree celsius. As the day, progresses, the temperature might give slight relief to the players who are in for an evening start with the match.

Toss also becomes a major concern in the IPL 2020 due to this situation even though in the shortest format it doesn’t plays a big role. Humidity during the latter part of the match makes it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball. The season has so far seen that the team’s batting first have won most number of matches.
