Rajasthan Royals will have their task cut out against Mumbai Indians when they square off against the defending champions in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Rajasthan Royals are on the brink of being eliminated as they suffered their seventh loss of IPL 2020 against SunRisers Hyderabad. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are only one victory away from reaching the playoffs.

Rajasthan Royals have failed to record back to back victories since the first two games. Against the SunRisers Hyderabad, Ben Stokes was unable to get going at the top, consuming 32 balls for his 30 runs as the team managed a below-par 154 in 20 overs. Leaving out Jofra Archer, not many bowlers have displayed consistency and threatened the opposing batsmen as often. Hence, the Royals with a shaky line-up and the form of their players will have an uphill task.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians decimated Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah by limiting them to 115. Mumbai Indians were particularly venomous with the new ball as Trent Boult accounted for three followed by a fourth one in the last ball of the innings. The absence of Rohit Sharma did not affect the defending champions at all since Ishan Kishan did a perfect job while opening and Kieron Pollard as captain. Pollard is likely to lead the team again on Sunday.
