While only time will tell whether KL Rahul succeeds as a captain or not, one can say that one of his recent decisions has not impressed batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. The former India batsman could not help but took to Twitter to point out the glaring mistake from the Kings XI Punjab skipper during their game against Mumbai Indians.
Asked to bat first, Mumbai Indians piled up 191 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. Kings XI Punjab started well with the ball, dismissing Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav cheaply to reduce the defending champions to 21 for 2. However, they couldn’t capitalise on the early breakthroughs.
And soon after Mumbai Indians’ innings ended, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to give his assessment of their batting. He was all praise for Rohit’s knock before criticising KL Rahul’s decision to give the final over to spinner K Gowtham when Pollard and Pandya were batting.
In the final over, the duo collected 25 runs with Pollard hitting three sixes on the last three balls and Pandya hitting one.
“191 is a very competitive total on this ground. Brilliantly paced innings by @ImRo45 . An off spinner to bowl against @hardikpandya7 and @KieronPollard55 in the 20th over!,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar while ending his tweet with a facepalm emoji.

Mumbai Indians have taken the command in the ongoing game. At the time of compiling this report, Kings XI Punjab were reeling at 71 for 3 in the tenth over with KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair back in the pavilion.
