After the tough last few days, Chennai Super Kings have finally received some good news. Their star men – Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo – have finally recovered and will be available for selection for the next game, head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed on Tuesday.

Rayudu has played only one game so far while Bravo is yet to take the field for CSK in IPL 2020. Rayudu scored a stunning match-winning fifty against defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament-opener before being sidelined by a hamstring injury.

In his absence, CSK’s batting looked extremely weak as they suffered defeats at the hands of Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. In both the games, they were chasing totals and never looked in contention to win the games.

“Yep, they are available for selection, so their experience within the squad is going to be important,” Stephen Fleming said, as quoted by CSK’s official website.

With just 2 points from three games, the runners-up of last IPL have slipped to the last spot in the points table. They will be looking to bounce back when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday and Fleming believes the 6-day break that they have enjoyed has helped them gained clarity about their plans.

“It came at a good time because the first three games were in quick succession and all games were at different grounds, so you have to appreciate trying to read conditions, for each game being predominantly the first team to play there was tough,” Fleming said.

“And also coming off a couple of challenges we had off the field, we’ve used this break pretty well, we got some clarity around what we need to do and have practised very well,” he added.
