Ireland Vs India 1st T20I - Twitter Lauds India For Dominant Display

Team India commenced their tour of Europe in fine style as the men in blue were just too hot to handle for hosts Ireland, today here in Dublin. After being put into bat on a bright, sunny afternoon, openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan responded in fine style with some delicious strokeplay.
The duo put on a colossal stand of 160 in exact 16 overs to propel India, as the best opening pair in limited overs put on a display of sheer class in Dublin. Showing no respite to the hosts, Dhawan initially began his onslaught, while Sharma was a bit subdued in his approach.
However, it didn’t take long for Rohit to find his rhythm as aggression soon became a clear trait of his knock. Too ironic though, as the Mumbai star was dismissed for 97, and just three shy of what would have been his third T20I century.
Needing 209 to win, Ireland never looked in the hunt and despite some atrocious fielding by the visitors, the hosts couldn’t make the most out of it. Barring opener James Shannon, none of the batsmen found their feet and the right hander alone scored a valiant half century.
Carrying on their good work from the shores of South Africa, the wrist spin twins in the form of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal ran riot. The duo decimated Ireland’s middle order to set up a comfortable win for India.
