Indian young sensation Ishan Kishan has had a blistering start to his international career. After conquering the Indian Premier League (IPL) with match-winning performances, Ishan Kishan hammered a whirlwind fifty in his T20I debut against England earlier this year. And now the southpaw has made his mark in the One-day international cricket too. He started his career with a maximum against Sri Lanka in the ongoing first ODI in Colombo

Ishan Kishan came in at number three in the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo, looking to continue the momentum laid by Prithvi Shaw. And the 22-year old did precisely that as India faced a tricky target of 263 after losing the toss. Kishan headed out to the middle in the sixth over of the innings and smashed Dhananjaya de Silva for a six over long-on.

He followed that up with a four. As a result, the youngster became the first Indian player to start his ODI career with a six and fifth overall. Former South African seamer Johann Louw was the first to do it back in 2008.

Ishan Kishan reaches his fifty off 33 balls:

In the 15th over of the innings, Ishan Kishan reached his maiden fifty of One-day international career with a boundary. The left-handed batsman did in 33 deliveries; however, he departed for 59 off 42 balls, falling to Lakshan Sandakan. But he put the visitors well in front in the game in pursuit of 263 to take a lead in the three-match series.
