Being Team India’s skipper is a seat too hot to handle. India has seen the rise and fall of many great captains over the years. However, when it comes to tasting success for a long period, no one can ever come close to former Indian skipper MS Dhoni and current Indian captain Virat Kohli.
There have been debates over the years as to who between them is the better captain.
Now, the strong and robust fast bowler Ishant Sharma has had his say on the debate.
Ishant has delivered his verdict as to who he prefers as a captain between Dhoni and Kohli. Ishant has played under both of them and has come up with a rather interesting response.
Ishant Sharma Has His Say On His Preferred Captain
In an interview with Cricbuzz, Ishant said, “Both Dhoni and Virat are my favourite captains. I can’t pick one and create a controversy.”
However, on being asked about his favourite batsman of all time, Ishant said that Kohli is the one who is above everyone else.
Ishant Has Played Under Both MS Dhoni And Virat Kohli
Ishant made his debut in the year 2007. MS Dhoni was made the Test captain for the first time in 2008 and remained the skipper until 2014. During his stint, Ishant played a lot of games for India.
Later, since Virat Kohli began leading the national side from 2014 after Dhoni’s retirement from Test cricket, Ishant Sharma has emerged as one of the most improved fast bowlers for India in recent times, especially in Test cricket.
