Apart from the bad day in the office during the second Twenty20 International where he went wicketless, Kuldeep Yadav is cherishing a purple patch with the ball. His tour to England has been phenomenal which already saw him bagging 18 wickets in the last four outings (three T20s and a solitary ODI) which include a five-wicket haul and a six-for respectively.

His magical figures.

Kuldeep tumbled the records as he achieved the best figures by a wrist spinner against England in their backyard. In the first ODI against India at Nottingham, Kuldeep got six scalps.

Not yet, he also bagged two Man of the Match awards in recent four outings despite 101* from Lokesh Rahul in the first match and 137* by Rohit Sharma in first ODI.

England seemed helpless before his mystery as Kuldeep proved to be a major threat with his variations.

Kuldeep gave a lot of credit to his coach, Kapil Pandey. Kuldeep said that Kapil is a person who is helping him during the off period. He also praised Hirwani and others for their unconditional support.

“He is someone who is always helping me out whenever I am back home. The team has equally helpful. In NCA I speak to Hirwani sir,” Kuldeep said.

Kuldeep’s Answers:

Regarding the question linked with his remarkable spell, Kuldeep said,

“Before the game I was nervous. Every game is important from now onwards. 6/25 couldn’t ask better than this.”

Concurring to the question related to fitness, Yadav said,

“In U-19 I was 75 kgs. I was working hard on my fitness and that’s reaping the benefits.”

While answering the third question which Rahul posed to him, Kuldeep Yadav said he will be backing France. He also revealed that he was basically supporting Brazil but they are now out of the tournament.

“Before the World Cup I was supporting Brazil but they were knocked out. Now in the finals, I think France will lift the cup, they are a good team,” Yadav said.
