Of late, Kuldeep Yadav has openly expressed his displeasure for bowling poorly. In IPL, he couldn’t control his emotions following a string of poor performances while during the second ODI today, he punished himself after being hit for a six by Shai Hope.

It was the fourth delivery of the 23rd over when Kuldeep gave a chance to Shai Hope to play a big shot. The right-handed batsman did not let the opportunity go and smashed it for a six. Following the poor delivery, Kuldeep was unimpressed with himself and hit his head with both his hands.

Despite losing four wickets, West Indies are in the race to chase down the total, courtesy Hope’s efforts. He, along with Nicholas Pooran, added 106 runs for the fourth wicket. Both Pooran and Hope played big shots. West Indies do have a long way to go but are still very much in the chase.

Vizag is a good chasing ground and the conditions are also assisting batsmen.

Earlier in the day, India registered a big total of 387/5 on the board. Their openers Rohit Sharma (159) and KL Rahul (102) provided a strong start to the team and put up 227 for the first wicket. Despite Virat Kohli getting out on a golden duck, middle-order stood strong.

Shreyas Iyer (53 off 32) and Rishabh Pant (39 off 16) added 73 runs for the fourth wicket and propelled the score ahead. India did register a big total but still have a tough task to defend the total.

A win for the home team will keep them alive in the series while a defeat here will see Kieron Pollard and co create history as it will be after more than 10 years than WI will win an ODI series in India. West Indies lead the three-match series 1-0. They won the series-opener in Chennai by eight wickets.
