Bangladesh have called in backup wicket-keeper batsman, Liton Das for the three-match ODI squad against the Windies while Imrul Kayes makes his way out picked for Bangladesh’s last assignment.
Rahman returns to the Squad
Meanwhile, the first of the three-ODIs will commence on July 22 after the two-match Test series. Also missing from that squad are all-rounder Nasir Hossain, Abul Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Mithun and Sunzamul Islam with the national selectors choosing to bring in almost like-for-like replacements in Mosaddek Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Nazmul Islam, Abu Hider and Abu Jayed.
Furthermore, seam bowler Mustafizur Rahman returns to the squad after nursing his foot injury.
Rahman, meanwhile, stirred up controversy after failing to report his injury ahead of the T20I series against Afghanistan.
Also holding on to his place in the squad is flamboyant batsman Sabbir Rahman. Sabbir is likely to retain his place in the playing XI despite some odd runs in the recent games.
Anamul Haque retained his place in the squad with the team desperately looking to find a stable combination at the top.
Guyana and St. Kitts will host the ODIs with the former playing host to the first two ODIs.
