Australia cricketer Marnus Labuschagne has had a dream run ever since he came into the in the playing XI as a concussion substitute for Steve Smith during the Ashes 2019. The talismanic run-scorer finished as the man of the series as they routed New Zealand 3-0 in the Test series. Labuschagne, who has now earned an ODI call for the series against India on the back superb form with the bat, is looking forward to playing in India.
The middle-order batsman ended the year as one of the highest run-scorers continued the similar run in 2020 scoring a double century and followed it up with another fifty in the second innings during the third Test against New Zealand. In his last eight Test innings, Marnus Labuschagne finished short of half-century only once and smacked four centuries including a double century.

“It has been an amazing summer. We have been playing really well as a team and it is good to see everything come together. The way I hit the ball and the way the batting group has performed has been tremendous. It’s so special to share these moments with your family. They are a part of the whole journey and to see them watch the hard work pay off feels great,” Labuschagne said after the end of the match.
Following a superb home series, Australia will now tour India for a three-match ODI series starting from January 14. Speaking on the opportunity, Marnus Labuschagne is enjoying the current stint and is looking forward to playing in India if an opportunity comes his way.

“It will be great to play in India if I get the opportunity. It is nicer to travel with this group and I am just taking it as it comes,” he concluded.
