Mahendra Singh Dhoni is Very Courageous, Says Sourav Ganguly

The former skipper of India, Sourav Ganguly recently talked to media to speak about the rise of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni maintained a calm head to bring laurels to Team India under his leadership.
The veteran southpaw Ganguly is often given credits behind the rise of many stars who broke into the international arena.
Ganguly during his tenure as a dynamic leader gave a proper direction and nourished stars like MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, and Yuvraj Singh in particular.
According to some cricket pundits, Dhoni took the credit and reaped the rewards which were set up by Ganguly following his hard work.
Ganguly, who belongs to Bengal made his legacy in International cricket. He is among one of the most successful skippers of all time.
India tasted many triumphs during his tenure, however, under Dhoni, India began to relish significant achievements.
It started with inaugural World T20 triumph in 2007, followed by the 50-over World Cup in 2011. These mega victories winners the cheery on the cake in the form of 2013 ICC Champions Trophy win in England.
In 2009, India also became number one Test Team in ICC Test Rankings.
A way to the successor
Dhoni gave way to his successor, Virat Kohli after stepping down from the captaincy.
However, even after that, he is one among the most prolific figures in Indian Team.
The former skipper Sourav Ganguly is delighted following the rise and success of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He feels delighted after catching sight of the long career of Ranchi boy.
However, Ganguly feels it makes him feel proud as both belong to India. As per Ganguly, India did not produce many young talents during yesteryears.
“Dhoni is very courageous. I feel happy seeing MS because when we started playing cricket, there was no cricketer from the east,” Ganguly said.
“No players used to play and used to think there won’t be a player this side. And we both captained so many matches, and we played so many matches,” he added.
