R Vinay Kumar will lead Karnataka in Zonal T20 league. India batsman, Manish Pandey has also been named in the squad.
He is one of the many India ODI players who will play for their state before the ODI specialists player goes to South Africa for the ODI series. The T20 games will fill in the gap for India ODI players between the two series for them.
Karnataka have a star-studded line-up as apart from Vinay Kumar and Pandey, the side boasts the likes of Mayank Agarwal, Abhimanyu Mithun, Stuart Binny and Mayank Agarwal. Shreyas Gopal and Krishnappa Gowtham are the two spin bowling all-rounders in the team.
Mystery bowler KC Cariappa too has been included in the T20 side.
Most of the members of the Karnataka side were members of one or the other IPL sides in the last IPL and this time again; they would look to perform well to attract franchises towards them.
Among all the players, all eyes will be on Manish Pandey and Krishnappa Gowtham. First talking of Pandey, he was not retained by Kolkata Knight Riders on retention day but is expected to be retained by the franchise on the auction day by use of RTM card.
Talking of Gowtham, his all-round exploits saw him being sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs 2 Crore but he did not get any game. The all-rounder is expected to be a hot property in the auction again.

Himachal Pradesh name T20 squad –
Himachal Pradesh announced it’s squad for the Zonal T20 league. Their are few familiar faces in the side like Rishi Dhawan, Ankush Bains, Prashant Chopra and Paras Dogra.
Bipul Sharma, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2017, too has been included. Young spinner Mayank Dagar will too turn up for the side. His good show in the previous season saw him being selected in the North Zone squad.
Himachal Pradesh will face Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Services and Haryana the North Zone League.
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018 starts from 7th Jan 2018. The Himachal squad has been selected and are all set to play their first match on 8th Jan against Harayana at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.

Parvez Rasool to lead Jammu and Kashmir –
India all-rounder Parvez Rasool will lead Jammu and Kashmir in Zonal T20 league. Jammu and Kashmir cricket association conducted an open trial to select the team for the tournament.
A total of 70 players were shortlisted and then practice matches were conducted to select the team.
Apart from Rasool, Shubham Khajuria, Bandeep Singh, Umar Nazir, Ram Dayal and Ian Dev Singh are some known faces in the squad.
Out of Jammu and Kashmir team, only Rasool has played IPL till now. He though went unsold in the previous auction year.
