India’s stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma was on fire during India’s second T20I game against Sri Lanka at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
The Mumbai batsmen hammered the ball to all parts of the ground to help India post a mammoth total on the board well cushioned by his opening partner Lokesh Rahul.
The spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up seven wickets in a span of 17 balls to restrict Sri Lanka by 88 runs to clinch the series 2-0 with one match to go.
Rohit Sharma’s brilliant run with the bat continues, as he muscled the Sri Lankan bowlers to score the fastest century in T20I, jointly with South Africa’s David Miller, as they did it in just 35 balls.
However, Rohit Sharma was looking well in line to go past 150 with ease but was undone by a slower bouncer by Dushmantha Chameera, as he chipped one to short third-man getting out of 118 runs off just 42 balls with the help of 12 sixes and ten fours.
