The men in blues fast bowler Mohammad Shami has demanded a detailed investigation on the allegations laid on him. Also, he said that his relationship with his wife Hasin Jahan had reached a point of no return.

Last week, Hasin Jahan, Shami’s wife, has charged him with domestic violence and extra-marital affairs. In a series of claims made by her last week, Jahan claimed Shami has fixed matches. She also filed a written complaint against Shami.

Kolkata Police has booked Shami under various non-bailable and bailable sections of the IPC; including Section 498A, which deals with cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives, Section 307 – attempt to murder, Section 323 – punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 – rape, Section 506 – criminal intimidation, Section 328 and Section 34.

Apart from domestic violence on Shami and charges of rape, Jahan has alleged that Shami had taken money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba.

Want a thorough investigation:

Shami urged the authorities for a detailed investigation into the allegations brought against him.

My request to the BCCI, or the anti-corruption unit, or the local police or any committee would be to take it seriously, there are many lives at stake here. I want it to be properly investigated,” Shami said to India Today. “As far as it is about my family and my household, for my wife and my daughter, I have done everything to save it. If say I had even only one percent chance to save it, I tried. But now Hasin herself has said in her interview that she wants to settle this in court. I don’t think any hope is left. I have made all family members talk (to her). Such things prove she does not even have that one percent.

I kept saying it all along, even in my interviews that I was trying hard. I felt if I could do anything, or even bow my head down which could help me save my house, I wouldn’t take a step back. But that hope is over now,” he added.

Shami also gave a detailed account of the day’s events when his brother is blamed to have raped his wife Hasin Jahan. Also, he dismissed the rape allegation brought against his brother.

The Supreme Court appointed CoA has asked BCCI’s ACU to submit their report within a week.

Meanwhile, Shami’s participation in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 remains uncertain. He was picked up by the Delhi Daredevils.
