Neil McKenzie to be Appointed as the Batting Consultant of Bangladesh for Windies Tour

Bangladesh has appointed former Proteas batsman Neil McKenzie as their batting consultant for Windies Tour. He will join the Bangladesh national side which comprises of a couple of Tests.
It was former Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Samaraweera, who was the batting consultant of Bangladesh before the appointment of McKenzie.
Meanwhile, McKenzie represented South Africa in 124 matches across formats.
“We are expecting his arrival during the upcoming Test series against West Indies,” a BCB spokesperson was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

He was a fine batsman for the Proteas at the top of the order and went on to represent them successfully for the Protas.
“We are confident that his vast experience will help our team, and our batsmen in particular,” he added.
Bangladesh will be playing two Tests, three One-day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals against the Windies.
They will begin the tour with a two-day practice game against WICB President on 28th June.
Meanwhile, the opening Test will begin on July four at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
McKenzie as per reports is expected to join the tea, from seventh of July. He won’t be available for the opening Test. Previously, he served as the batting coach of South Africa between 2016 and 2018.
