Of late, there are series of debutants making their way into the International cricket. The latest youngster in the block is Rohit Kumar Paudel from Nepal who becomes overall the fourth youngest debutant to make One-day International (ODI) debut.
The right-handed batsman Poudal made his debut in the first ODI against Netherland on August 3rd (Friday). Rohit’s 15 years and 335 days are the fourth youngest to make an ODI debut.

Pakistan’s Hasan Raza is at the pinnacle of the chart who made his debut in 1996 at the age of just 14 years and 233 days. He made his debut against Zimbabwe.
Kenya’s Gurdeep Singh, who made his ODI debut in 2013 is second-youngest in the chart. He made his debut when he was aged 15 years and 258 days. Third-placed Canada’s Nitish Kumar made his debut at the age of 15 years and 273 days.
Nepal seals the thriller by one run against the Netherlands:
Coming to the match report, it was Nepal, who won the toss and elected to bat first. Accepting the challenge, Netherland bowlers did superbly rattle three top-order wickets in a quick succession.
However, skipper, Paras Khadka and the all-rounder Sompal Kami raised to the occasion to hand a decent 216-run tally on the board. Both of them registered respective sublime fifties for their side.

In reply to the chase, Netherlands lost their opener Stephen Myburgh for a nought. Ben Cooper too failed to tackle the Nepal bowler who left the burden on middle-order.
The experienced campaigner, Wesley Barresi played a fine knock of 71 runs to keep the team on a chase. But, unfortunately, he couldn’t find the support from any of his teammates.
When it required 6 runs off the final over, Nepal skipper took the onus on himself. He bowled a beauty of the over to hand first-ever ODI victory for Nepal.
The young spinner Sandeep Lamichchane has been the pick of bowlers with three wickets while Lalit picked two wickets. Apart from them, all the other bowlers grabbed apiece.
In conclusion, it is the same game in which, Rohit Kumar Paudel from Nepal became fourth youngest debutant in the ODI cricket.
