It has been a brilliant season for Bangladesh compared to the last few years. They have matured as a unit and the players are delivering goods on a regular basis. Meanwhile, they have got a task to play New Zealand in the upcoming bilateral ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019. Speaking of the same, the skipper Mushfiqur Rahim is confident of putting on a good show.

It is always a tough challenge to beat New Zealand on their home soil. However, they have been outclassed by the Indian National Cricket Team. Meanwhile, the visiting side Bangladesh would love to extend the streak of sub-continent team dominating Kiwis in their home.

An Ideal Preparation for ICC World Cup 2019:

Mushfiqur Rahim expects Bangladesh’s upcoming tour to New Zealand as ideal preparation for the ODI World Cup later in the year in England & Wales. He wants his side to make most of the opportunity and gain the experience to make the most in the grand event.

Further, he went on add saying that the team is matured enough to tackle the situation of international cricket. Mushfiqur Rahim also expects that the high-scoring clashes might be in the basket during the ODI series.

“It will be the ideal preparation ahead of the World Cup,” said Rahim ahead of the three-match One-Day International series which begins February 13 in Napier. India won the ODI series but New Zealand fought really hard. They have a really good bowling attack but I believe that our team will do well.”

“It will be a difficult challenge in New Zealand. There may be high-scoring matches. If we can overcome those challenges, it will only help us for the future,” said Rahim. “If you look back, you see that we have lost some close ODIs against them,” said the wicket-keeper batsman. “But this time we are more experienced and more confident to beat them on their own soil.”

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Bangladesh. As Rahim said, their team has got brilliant players in the side to make things fall in place. They will be playing Three ODI games followed by Three Test matches.
