Pakistan left-arm seamer Junaid Khan took to his official Twitter handle on Saturday and held a question and answer session. Junaid Khan, who has been hugely inconsistent for the national team in recent times, has not earned a call-up for Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand. The 31-year old named the best fast bowler between Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi when asked by a fan.

Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah are arguably amongst the best fast bowlers of the current generation. Shaheen Afridi, a left-arm seamer, has bowling averages of 32.13, 21.64, and 23.77 in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is respectively after debuting in December 2018. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is also highly effective across formats and has become one of the fearsome fast bowlers in all three versions of the game.

In the ongoing tour of New Zealand, Shaheen Afridi took four wickets in the three-match T20I series and took as many in the first Test as the tourists went down fighting. Bumrah, for whom the Australia tour began meekly, has gone on to perform commendably well as it kept progressing. The right-arm seamer had an instrumental role in India levelling the four-match Test series against Australia last week.
