The latest sensation in international cricket, Bilal Asif made his debut for Pakistan aged 33 and marked the occasion with a maiden six-wicket haul against Australia on Tuesday. His performance not only showed his character but also the perfect answer for the people, who criticised his selection for the Test series. Also, it might even make Shoaib Malik proud as well.

Meanwhile, Bilal Asif reveals an unusual incident of his cricketing career, which happened when he called curtains on his cricketing career. He stated the Pakistan Ace batsman, Shoaib Malik advised him to continue cricket and fight for a place in the national team.

The disheartened Bilal Asif decided to leave the game of cricket and went with his father to do the electrician Job. However, Shoaib Malik isn’t impressed with the decision and asked the youngster to restart his career and fight for his place in the national team.

The advice worked brilliantly for Bilal Asif, as he made a sterling comeback to the international cricket. His incredible six-wicket haul helped Pakistan dictate the terms in the Test match against Australia.

“It’s an old story that I went to Kuwait to help my father, but Malik advised me to return and fight hard for a place in the Pakistan team. It was a worthy return,” Bilal Asif recalled, as was quoted by Samaa TV.

‘Being a professional cricketer, you have to be tough mentally. I always kept working hard. I didn’t think whether I would get a chance or not. I was out of the team since 2015. I was at the National Cricket Academy camp where I worked with head coach Mushtaq Ahmed. I got the reward for that hard work,” he added to his lines.

However, Pakistan has been on the front foot in the Test against Australia in Dubai. After declaring on 181 for six in their second innings, the hosts have set a target of 462 to the Australia team.
