The famous all-rounder from Pakistan, Shahid Afridi calls England as his favourite country after his beloved native nation, Pakistan.

The Pakistan superstar conducted a chit-chat session on the micro-blogging website, Twitter where he opened up about a few things of the past and his personal life also.

One of his Twitter users asked him about his favourite country after Pakistan, and Shahid Afridi’s answer read,

“England but nothing beats our own country Pakistan.”

The former all-rounder is an active member on the social media platforms. He raises many social issues apart from sharing the news of his foundation. It is worthy to note that Shahid Khan Afridi is the patron of Shahid Afridi Foundation that works actively in Pakistan.

Shahid Afridi still holds many records in the international arena. His fastest century record in One-Day format held for eighteen years. Many consider his gigantic six against South Africa as the longest six struck in international cricket subsequently.

Apart from it, he tops the record of most number of sixes along with Chris Gayle in international cricket, with the number tally reaching 474. It will not be wrong to call Shahid Afridi an inventor of swashbuckling batting.

The Pakistan cricketer served his nation for more than a decade. Apart from scoring more than 10,000 runs for his country, his overall strike rate touches a brim of 117.1. Besides all these batting facts, Shahid Afridi has more than 500 scalps in the top level of cricket.

Nicknamed as ‘Lala,’ the Pakistani all-rounder made his debut against Kenya in 1996. After making his debut, he became a poster boy in his country. He is the hero of many young buds and even for many of the cricketers who play at the international stage.
