Kuldeep Yadav once tipped as the future of India cricket, had faced the axe from the ongoing England Tests, and now to get back to the side, he is playing in the unofficial Test between India A and Australia A.

Initially, Kuldeep Yadav, after grabbing the IPL contract a few years back became a force to reckon in the limited-overs format for India. Meanwhile, the more extended version of the game became challenging for the youngster after playing so much of white-ball game.

Most recently, the unorthodox bowler, Kuldeep Yadav had failed in the 2nd Test at Lord’s against England, and later got overlooked for the remaining Tests. He looked quite ordinary in his spell who bowled scoring balls often than not.

Speaking of his failure in the recently concluded Test match at Lords, the chinaman bowler quoted because of too much of white-ball cricket being played; he missed playing the flair of Test cricket.

Further, Kuldeep quoted he needs to change his mindset as quickly as possible to get back to his old rhythm. Currently, he was called to deliver the goods in the ongoing four-day Test game against Australia A.

”You have to change your mindset when playing red ball. You need to be patient. For me, it was very challenging to use the red ball after a gap because I was quite used to white-ball cricket and then I was selected for the Test team. I spoke to MSK sir and Ravi sir. There the conditions were such that only one spinner was needed.,” he said on Tuesday.

“Here there were some chances for me because sitting out of the team does not really help. So in that perspective, these two games (against Australia ‘A’) are very important. I can build my red-ball experience. If I get into a rhythm now, then I will be in a better place against the West Indies when they come here,” said the spinner.

Topsy-turvy England tour:

The young lad has had an incredible time in the shorter version of the game. He was threatening in the T20I format when he single-handedly helped India bag the series. He continued his heroics in ODI series as well.

Kuldeep Yadav’s splendid display of bowling in the limited-overs earned him a place in the Test format.

However, unfortunately, Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t utilise the chance, as he got removed after the Test at Lord’s.
