Following a brilliant last few months, Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed how the advice from Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid helped him to do better.

Jaiswal was the Player of the Series in the U19 World Cup where India lost the final to Bangladesh. Jaiswal scored 400 runs overall in the tournament, which included a hundred against Pakistan and 88 runs in the final.

During the final of the tournament between India and Bangladesh, the bowlers of the opposition tried to disturb the focus of him and his partner Divyansh Saxena, as they have been the best opening pair of the tournament.

Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid Told Yashasvi Jaiswal to, ‘Talk with your bat’, not with your mouth –

Speaking of the same, Jaiswal stated that it was the words of Dravid and Tendulkar, which kept him calm despite the on-field behaviour of Bangladesh. Jaiswal added that he wanted to do talking with the bat, as advised by Sachin and Rahul ahead of the tournament.

“That was because of Dravid (Rahul Dravid) sir and Sachin sir (Sachin Tendulkar). They always told me one thing – ‘talk with your bat, not with your mouth’. So, I always keep that advice on top of my list. And that’s why I stayed calm and didn’t respond to any of the sledge (in the final against Bangladesh),” Yashasvi told Timesofindia.com in an exclusive interview.
