Raksha Bandhan 2018: Here Is How Indian Stars Are Celebrating The Festival

India is a land of festivals and one of the most popular festivals celebrated primarily in India is Rakhsa Bandhan. The festival sheds light on the unbreakable bond between the brother and a sister.
On this day a sister ties a holy knot ‘rakhi’ to her brother who in return pays a gift to his sister. The festival marks the love, care, and affection between the siblings.
Today ( August 26) is the day that marks the festival. Everybody including Indian cricketers share this auspicious occasions with their cricketers. Cricketers tied rakhi to their sisters and tweeted many wishes and prayers for their sisters.
Therefore, it is an Indian-Nepali festival that builds up a bond between brothers and their sisters. After tieing the holy knot around the arms of the brothers, they get a promise of protection in return subsequently.
Ajinkya Rahane on Raksha Bandhan
Ajinkya Rahane, who is the vice-captain of India shared an emotional tweet on Twitter today. The right-hand batsman of India, Ajinkya Rahane is currently in England and is missing his sister very much. As a result, for his sister, Apurva, Rahane tweeted a heart-warming message for him.
“Today on Raksha Bandhan, I miss having my rakhi tied by you, just like every year. You are the best sister one could ask for!#HappyRakshaBandhan Apurva,” Rahane therefore wrote on Twitter.
In a similar manner, many other cricketers took social media to share messages for their sisters. The discarded Indian batsman, Gautam Gambhir while wishing his sister on this day shared a moral lesson as well subsequently.
