Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin turned 32 on September 17, 2018 ( Monday) and the cricketing world took to social media to wish the Chennai man.

However, Ashwin is having a low-key Test series against England. He just manages to take 11 wickets from four Tests matches. Ashwin is India’s leader in red-ball cricket. He played 62 Test matches and has taken 327 wickets at an economy of 2.87 and his strike rate stands at 53.4.

Ashwin has the best figure of 7 for 59 and has grabbed five wickets in an innings for 26 times. Moreover, he has reached the peak of taking 10 wickets in a match seven times. He will be playing for India later this year at home against the West Indies. However, the failure of Ashwin was determined that England off-spinner Moeen Ali took nine wickets in a match.

Furthermore, Ashwin struggled a lot in the five-match Test series against England and he missed the fifth match at the Oval. Moreover, there had been a lot of criticism about him playing the fourth Test at Southampton. He was not fit for the Test as he got an injury in the third Test. However, in the second innings of the fourth Test, Ashwin was struggling to deliver the ball and England had won the match.

Moreover, Ravichandran Ashwin has last played an ODI for India in June 2017 in an away series against the West Indies. He had also shifted from Chennai Super Kings to Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he is leading the side.
