According to a report in the Indian Express, Suryakumar Yadav is expected to lead the Mumbai Indians in regular skipper Rohit Sharma’s absence in IPL 2023. The talented middle-order batsman had a stellar IPL season last year, scoring 480 runs in 16 matches with an impressive average of 40.00. Surya is widely considered one of the most promising talents in Indian cricket and has been touted as a future star in the national team.

As the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season draws closer, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has reportedly hinted at sitting out a few games in order to manage his workload effectively with Suryakumar Yadav taking charge in his place.
