The spirits are at an all-time high in the Delhi Capitals camp and it was truly evident when head coach Ricky Ponting gave an interview to the host broadcasters during his sides’ fixture against the Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah on Saturday.
Ponting was mic’d up and was engrossed in answering the questions posed by the commentators during the Delhi Capitals run-chase. However, that did not stop Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant to have a bit of fun with their coach.
While Stoinis was the one who started it by smiling in the background at the start of the interview, Rishabh Pant took it to a completely different level when he walked close to Ricky Ponting and pretended that he was all ears to what his coach had to say.

Eventually, it was when one of the commentators asked Ricky Ponting as to who was behind his left should that the former World Cup-winning captain realized what Pant was up to.
Ponting immediately smiled and replied by saying that he wouldn’t mind seeing Pant bat in the middle as compared to being in the dugout at that moment.
The Delhi Capitals coach took to his official Twitter account on Sunday, where he took a cheeky dig at both Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis.
”One day I’ll get to do an interview in peace @DelhiCapitals @RishabhPant17 @MStoinis” Ricky Ponting wrote.
