Rohan Jaitley, Son Of Arun Jaitley, Elected DDCA President

Rohan Jaitley, son of former finance minister late Arun Jaitley, has been elected unopposed as the the new president of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). His tenure will remain till June 30, 2021. The association will hold elections on November 5, 6 and 8 to elect the remaining office bearers (treasurer and director).
The results of this election, wherein new office bearers (treasurer and director) will be elected, will be announced on November 9.
Rohan is a lawyer by profession and had filed his papers on the last day of nominations. Incidentally, his father Arun, also served as DDCA president between 1999 and 2013. He was expected to be the unanimous choice made by all the members of the board.

Rohan said that he doesn’t mind contest as it is good for domestic process. He also added that the idea is to bring good people in at appropriate times adding that he wants to work for the betterment of cricket in the national capital.
“I don’t mind a contest. It is good for the democratic process. The Idea is to bring in good people at appropriate times to have checks and balances in place,” Rohan Jaitley had said PTI after filing his nomination papers.
“Yes, I have filed my nomination today. I would like to work for the betterment of Delhi cricket and would love to have everyone on the same page. It’s good to come”.
DDCA was without a head since the time Rajat Sharma resigned from his position.
