Rohit Sharma’s knack of pulling his teammates’ legs is well known. From commenting on Yuvraj Singh’s bare-body photo to trolling some of his teammates after they met former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler The Great Khali, the India batting star comes up with any comment or a tweet to troll his teammates now and then. And it is safe to say that Rohit manages to come out on top on most of the occasions.

Well, the 30-year old recently got a taste of his own medicine when his attempt to troll Yuzvendra Chahal completely backfired. It all began when the India leg-spinner took to Instagram to post a picture of himself with a gold club in his hand.

Sensing an opportunity to pull Chahal’s leg, Rohit took a dig at the leg-spinner’s thin physique, writing:

“Khud mat ud jayiyo golf stick ke saath,” which roughly translates to “Don’t get blown away with the golf stick.”

However, Chahal had the last laugh in the conversation as he was quick to remind Rohit why he would not get blown away, telling his senior teammate that it was not a golf stick but a golf club.

“@rohitsharma45 haha stick hoti to shayad udd jata but it’s called a golf club bhaiya,” Chahal replied.

Meanwhile, both the players will soon play together again when Chahal travels to South Africa for the limited-overs series. Rohit is already in the African nation for the ongoing Test series. After the conclusion of the three-Test series, India will lock horns against the Proteas in six One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.
