RR vs KKR: Watch - Shreyas Iyer Angrily Shouts At Venkatesh Iyer After The Latter Almost Runs Him Out Due To Miscommunication

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Shreyas Iyer was not happy with his batting partner Venkatesh Iyer as they tried to chase down the huge 218-run target set by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 30^th match of the IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 18, 2022.

Rajasthan Royals batted first as Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl. KKR added Shivam Mavi to the XI in place of Aman Khan, while RR brought in Trent Boult, and Karun Nair and handed a debut to Obed McCoy.

RR openers Devdutt Padikkal (24) and Jos Buttler added 97 runs in 9.4 overs before Padikkal was bowled by Sunil Narine, who was playing his 150^th match in IPL for KKR.  However, Jos Buttler continued his terrific form in this IPL 2022 and slammed 103 in 61 balls with 5 sixes and 9 fours to his name.

Sanju Samson also hit 38 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes, as RR posted 217/5 in 20 overs.

Venkatesh Iyer Gets Scolded By Shreyas Iyer After A Misunderstanding During A Run

On the last ball of the 16^th over, Shreyas Iyer almost got out, as he was ball watching and wanted a second run and was in mid-pitch when Venkatesh Iyer sent him back just in the nick of time as Shimron Hetmyer hared to the ball and released it in one swift motion.

However, Shreyas Iyer was not happy with Venkatesh not going for the second run as he felt there was enough space for them to get that important second run, but Venkatesh just calmly listened to it while the captain was scolding him.

Iyer was then dismissed by Chahal for 6 runs and Then Shreyas Iyer fell for 85 in 51 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes to his name.
