Master blaster of Indian Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar has played some magical knocks against some of the greatest bowling attacks in the world. However, recently he revealed one of his best knocks in Australian soil.
It was in 1992 when India toured Australia for a five-match Test series. Australia went into the third Test with 2-0 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia was put to bat first after India won the toss and elected to field first. Australia posted 313 in the first innings with David Boon scoring 129.
In reply, India registered 483 in the first dig with Ravi Shastri notching up a double hundred well cushioned by Sachin Tendulkar, who became the youngest cricketer to score a hundred in Australian soil.

Sachin showed his class in his early days as remained unbeaten on 148 on 298 including 14 boundaries balls against a quality Aussie attack. Sachin played some glorious shots on his way to give India a lead of 170runs. It was also Sachin’s second Test hundred since his debut.
However, the match ended in a plain draw as the umpires called it for the day at the score of 173 for 8 in Australia’s second innings. Allan Border remained unbeaten on 53 runs.
India was decimated as they lost the series 4-0 as the host outclassed the visitors in all the departments.
