The excitement surrounding the upcoming day-night Test is there for everyone to see. Starting from the organisers, fans to the players, everyone associated with the game is looking forward to the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens from November 22. The Test will mark the debut of both the teams in day-night Tests.

While the first day-night Test was played way back in 2015, both India and Bangladesh decided against trying it quickly. Both the teams were apprehensive of how the conditions and the pink ball would affect the game. But they have finally decided to get a taste of playing with the pink ball under the lights and are gearing up for the historic moment.

Not only the fans but the players are also equally excited for the upcoming game. But perhaps no one is as excited as India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. The star batsman, in fact, is sleeping with the pink-ball beside him as he himself confirmed it. Ajinkya Rahane took to Instagram to post a hilarious snap of himself sleeping with a pink ball beside him with the caption: “Already dreaming about the historic pink ball test ?”

Unsurprisingly, the fans were in splits with the post and some were even trolling Rahane before his own teammates Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli joined the conversation. The two tried to pull the batsman’s legs with hilarious comments.

India, meanwhile, are leading the two-match Test series after winning the opener by an innings and 130 runs. The hosts thoroughly outplayed the visitors and wrapped up the game inside three days despite losing the toss. Bangladesh were all out for just 150 in their first innings before India piled up 493 for 6 (declared). In reply, Bangladesh were all out for 213 in the second innings to suffer the crushing loss.
