Former Team India skipper, Sourav Ganguly, on October 23 (Wednesday) was formally elected as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ganguly won the election unopposed after filing his nomination earlier this month.

Sourav Ganguly will be able to serve as Bthe CCI president only up to September 2020. He is currently the President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and will have to go into a compulsory cooling-off period.
