Following the 58th match of the IPL 2023 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), SRH’s Aiden Markram expressed his disappointment over the team’s loss against the opponents.
Despite scoring over 180 runs, Aiden Markram felt that the team lacked a crucial partnership that could have taken them to the 200-run mark. However, the skipper added that he believed 182 was the par score for the match.

As the game progressed, Aiden Markram observed that the wicket started to slow down, making it harder for the batsmen to score runs. Despite the pressure, he felt that the team tried their best against the high-quality players of LSG, including Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran.
However, Aiden Markram acknowledged that once the right-handed batsmen came in, he wasn’t the best person for the job. He emphasized the importance of using the next three games as opportunities for the team to step up their game and make every moment count.

It’s About The Guys Use The Next Three Games As An Opportunity: Aiden Markram
While the loss was a setback for the SRH, Aiden Markram remained optimistic about the team’s chances in the upcoming matches. He emphasized that pressure is an interesting thing, and the team must learn from their mistakes and work towards improving their performance.
“I thought it was a decent score, I thought 180 was par. We batted well, probably lacked one partnership that could have got us to the 200-run mark. The wicket got slower throughout the day, we would have taken this total at the start. Pressure is an interesting thing, and the guys tried their best.”
“When you are put under pressure by high-quality players like Stoinis and Pooran, you are going to be tested. Once the righties came in, I don’t think I was the man for the job. It’s about the guys using the next three games as opportunities, they must make it count.”
As the competition in the Indian Premier League (IPL) heats up, every game becomes crucial for the teams. SRH will need to work hard and focus on their strengths to come back stronger in their next match against Gujarat Titans.
The IPL has always been a platform for talented players to showcase their skills, and Markram believes that the next few games will be a chance for the SRH players to prove their worth. With a positive attitude and a determined mindset, the team can turn the tide in their favor and make their mark in the tournament.
