You can keep Steven Smith out of Cricket Australia but not his thoughts. The flamboyant batsman, who got banned for his involvement in the ball-tampering is having a close look at the batting worries of the team. Meanwhile, Steven Smith is aiming to get the things right ahead of their 2019 World Cup defence in England and Wales.

However, the former skipper discussed a few other issues with Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins when the trio met over lunch. Speaking to media after the meeting, Mitchell Starc revealed quite a few interesting things about Smith.

Furthermore, Starc went on to say Steven Smith is in good spirits and wants to make a come back by becoming even more fittest. Meanwhile, the fast bowler is happy to see Steven spending his time with cricket across the world.

“Steven Smith talked about his grade cricket coming up and he’s playing in the UAE (T20) League at the back end of December. There weren’t heaps about the immediate future. There was a little bit of talk about World Cup time and some line-ups there,” Mitchell Starc said to the reporters in Sydney.

”He’s got a smile on his face, he’s been around training, he’s talking about having to get back and get himself a bit fitter as well. He’s in good spirits and it’s good to see him around with bat and ball in hand,” he added.

However, it is pretty good to see Steven Smith is pondering over Cricket Australia’s struggles. During the course, the right-handed batsman played for franchises across the globe and also set to participate in UA T20X and the PSL.
