In the past, Indian players have broken and created various records. While some of these record-breaking players go on to establish their place in the national team, some others fail to keep up their performances and eventually get dropped.

There are a lot of players who are renowned for one of their spectacular innings, but they just failed to keep the momentum going.

Later, these players were dropped from the Indian team and now they are in the wilderness.

Fans remember their one solitary performance but they haven’t played for the national team for a long time.

Here are three Indian players who are famous for just one remarkable performance:

Stuart Binny made his international debut in 2014 and although he had a very short stint with the national team. he is still remembered for one of his magical acts.

In 2014, he created history by picking up six wickets against Bangladesh in an ODI, giving away just four runs.

This record, till date, remains India’s best figures in international cricket. It came in a crucial game as well, where the Men in Blue decided to bat first and could only conjure up a total of 105 runs.

The Indian team romped to victory, courtesy of Binny’s lethal spell, where he picked up six wickets and gave away just four runs.

In the following years, he lost his place in the Indian team and hasn’t recovered ever since.

The 35-year-old had been playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the past few years but wasn’t retained by Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the end of last season, and he remained unsold in the IPL 2020 auction.
