Mumbai Indians fast bowler Trent Boult believes the pitches for IPL 2020 in UAE will change drastically over the span of matches. The pitches in UAE, are usually on the slower side, and favours spin. However, Trent Boult believes that humidity is going to play a crucial role in helping the ball to swing.

Boult, however, wants to play on swing friendly conditions which offers pace and bounce. Ahead of their clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Boult said that the team which will adjust to the conditions quickly can win the tournament.

“Wickets are gonna change throughout the tournament from what we had experienced the other night. The humidity and the ball differently swung around a little bit in the first match. From my point of view I would love to see swinging friendly conditions with a bit a pace in wicket,” said Boult said in a virtual press conference.

“I think the team adjusting quickly and assessing those conditions early as possible are going to successful ones and that is what we all look to do,” he added.

“I have experienced the Abu Dhabi wicket and I understand that wickets here can change drastically in these conditions,” he further said.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will open their IPL 2020 campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. KKR have a well-balanced unit and will look to leave an early mark in the game. While Mumbai Indians will look to bounce back after their defeat in the inaugural IPL 2020 clash and register the first winning points to their tally.

Mumbai Indians, with a star-studded line-up, might look to make a few crucial changes. The Mumbai franchise might replace James Pattinson with Nathan Coulter-Nile in their line-up. They will also expect their all-rounders Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and the top-order batsmen to fire for them.
