Rohit Is The Front Runner To Lead The Indian T20 Team
Rohit Sharma, the current, Indian vice-captain is clearly the front-runner to captain team India after Virat’s departure as the T20 captain. He has led the Men in Blue in 19 T20Is and has won 15 of those matches.
He has also led team India to the Asia Cup trophy and the Nidahas trophy title in 2018.

As the captain of Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL, Rohit Sharma has won 5 IPL titles. He flew to the UAE alongside Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah on September 11 for the remainder of IPL 2021 which is all set to commence from September 19.
The first returning fixture will see Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the El-Classico of World Cricket.
