Ayush Badoni of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) received great praise from Twitterati as his debut half-century helped his team to a respected total against Gujarat Titans, as the two franchises made their Indian Premier League debut in the fourth match of the IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Gujarat Titans had picked Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill ahead of the IPL 2022 auction and named Pandya as their captain. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants picked KL Rahul as their captain and along with him picked Ravi Bishnoi and Marcus Stoinis before the auction.
