IPL 2019 Auction: Twitter Surprised As Kings XI Punjab Signs Varun Chakaravarthy For 8.4 Crores

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have roped the service of mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy. He had played cricket in school without much success and quitted the game to concentrate more on academics.

Meanwhile, Varun had taken the game to another level after making a comeback. Meanwhile, Varun Chakaravarthy came into the Indian domestic cricket terrifically. Playing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2018, he captured the attention of the state selectors with his phenomenal discipline and control in bowling. He had bowled in a T20 league with a superb economy rate of 4.7 from ten games.

Moreover, after that, he cemented his place in the Tamil Nadu’s Limited-overs team. Varun Chakaravarthy claimed 22 wickets from just nine matches, picking at least one wicket in each game. During the last season of the IPL, Dinesh Karthik invited the young spinner to bowl at the KKR nets. Kings XI Punjab will try to build a strong team. In spite of having some best players in their side, they are still to put hands on the trophy.

Furthermore, Varun Chakravarthy had to go through a bad phase, as he was ruled out of action for six months after injuring his knee. It gave him a chance to work on his mystery spin, which he had developed through years of tennis ball cricket. Now he had got some great place to prove himself and will try to put all his best.
