MI vs LSG: Twitter Trolls Mukesh Ambani After Mumbai Indians Lose 6th Consecutive Match In IPL 2022

Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Mukesh Ambani came in for some brutal trolling on Twitter after the Rohit Sharma-led side lost their 6th consecutive match in the ongoing IPL 2022. Their latest loss came against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 16, 2022.

This was a must-win game for the MI side as they inched towards being eliminated from the race of IPL 2022 playoffs and Rohit Sharma called correctly at the toss and chose to bowl first after winning it. Fabian Allen was brought into the team in place of Basil Thampi by Mumbai Indians, while LSG chose to include Manish Pandey in place of Krishnappa Gowtham.

However, LSG batters took the leather off the ball as MI bowlers leaked runs to all parts of the CCI stadium. Lucknow captain KL Rahul, who was playing his 100th game in the Indian Premier League, celebrated by scoring 103* in 60 balls with 5 sixes and 9 fours to his name. He was supported by Quinton de Kock (24) and Manish Pandey (38) as LSG posted 199/4 in 20 overs.

Twitterverse Make A Joke Out Of Mukesh Ambani After Mumbai Indians Failed To Chase Down 199 Runs, Lose By 18 Runs

Much was expected from the famed Mumbai Indians batting lineup as they faced the tough task of chasing down 199 runs. However, LSG struck early as Avesh Khan had Rohit Sharma caught behind for just 6 runs, and then Ishan Kishan was out for 13 runs. Dewald Brevis looked golden in his 13-ball 31-run knock.

However, the Lucknow bowlers kept the pressure on with regular wickets. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma made a brief recovery, adding 57 runs for the 4th wicket when Varma fell for 26 runs. Suryakumar soon followed for 37 runs, leaving Kieron Pollard to perform a miracle.

He tried his best to do so but managed 25 runs before getting out in the last over as MI managed 181/9 in 20 overs and lost the game by 18 runs. This proved to be their sixth consecutive loss, and their worst start to an Indian Premier League season ever.

Twitterverse was not kind to Mukesh Ambani, the owner of the Mumbai Indians, who have won 5 IPL titles with three of them coming in the last five years. He was brutally trolled on the social media site and here are some of the most epic tweets.
