Leg-spinner Rashid Khan has once again proved just why he is the best in the business as he got the better of Kolkata Knight Riders opener Shubman Gill to break the 53-run-opening stand.

Rashid Khan was introduced in the attack immediately after the end of powerplay and the leg-spinner struck gold on the first delivery of the seventh over.

Khan gave the wrong un a bit of air and proceeded to deceive Shubman Gill with his flight and dip.

Gill, who was already on one knee for the attempted slog-sweep, was left to rue his decision to do the same as he heard the death rattle of the stumps.

Gill’s wicket came at a crucial time for SunRisers Hyderabad as he and Nitish Rana had given Kolkata Knight Riders a brilliant start in the powerplay.

Batting first, the duo of Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana took apart the SRH seam bowlers in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, and T Natarajan.

While Nitish Rana took the liking to Sandeep Sharma, smoking him for five boundaries across two overs, Shubman Gill played some sumptuous strokes, none better than the lofted on-drive that he hit off T Natarajan for a six.
