Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler Sandeep Sharma replied with a lovely delivery after getting hit for a six on the earlier delivery by Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman, Yashashvi Jaiswal. The two sides are going head-to-head in Dubai in Match 40 on Monday.
Jaiswal took on Sandeep and tonked him for a huge six over long-on. It was very early in the over and Sandeep was under the cosh. He responded in fine fashion with a slower delivery that completely fooled the youngster.
The left-hander stepped down the track and went through with his shot very early. The ball sneaked under his bat due to a vicious dip and struck the timber. It brought an end to a developing innings where Jaiswal was looking very dangerous.
Jaiswal had also built a partnership with the skipper, Sanju Samson after the early fall of opening batsman, Evin Lewis. The West Indian was brought back into the side after recovering from minor niggles which had kept him out of the previous game.
He fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the bowler’s first ball of the night. Kane Williamson had stationed a man at deep backward square leg where Lewis holed out. The pair of Samson and Jaiswal then counterattacked to put the pressure on SRH’s bowling.
A flurry of boundaries was scored but finally, it was Sandeep Sharma himself who came in and provided the breakthrough in the ninth over. Samson on the other hand kept going and reached his fifty in the latest development.
