Indian captain Virat Kohli has been at his aggressive best in the afternoon session of the pink-ball Test against England at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

His aggression reached its tipping point when England skipper Joe Root was adjudged leg-before wicket courtesy Ravichandran Ashwin.

Root was seemingly getting himself in some sort of rhythm during the 47-run-stand between him and opener Zak Crawley when he made the cardinal sin of going back on a delivery which he should have played on the front foot.

The Indians went up in unison and the umpire duly obliged by raising his finger. Kohli was excited as ever as he channelized his inner Dale Steyn and out came the legendary pacers famous fist pump celebration.

Root, however, decided to challenge the on-field call but the decision was upheld with the ball-tracking adjudging it as ‘Umpire’s Call’.

Kohli let out a guttural roar and proceeded to give Joe Root a send-off and in the process dropped the F-bomb.

Root’s wicket proved to be the turning point in England’s innings as Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin proceeded to run through their middle-order to leave them reeling at 8-98 in 37.3 overs.
