Mumbai have included India limited-overs specialist Shreyas Iyer in the squad for the knockouts of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017/18.
The 23-year-old top-order batsman Iyer was dropped from the Twenty20 International side for the South Africa series and was available to play the knockout game for Mumbai.
Hence, Mumbai selectors included him in the team.
To much of our surprise, Ajinkya Rahane has not been named in the side.

The right-handed batsman Rahane is also not the part of the T20I side and will fly to India along with Iyer and fast bowler Mohammed Shami.
This is the second time in the season when Rahane will skip domestic game despite being available.
Rahane did not feature in the Ranji Trophy tie against Madhya Pradesh despite being available, which surprised Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
Aditya Tare will continue to lead the team with Dhawal Kulkarni as his deputy.

Alongside Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Akhil Herwadkar and Jay Bista are also part of the side.
Suryakumar Yadav and Siddhesh Lad form the core of the team and the success of the side will heavily depend on these two players.
Lad has been the star performer for Mumbai. He scored 368 runs in five league stage games at an average of 73.60, including three centuries.
Suryakumar has also been the star for the side with 295 runs in six games at an average of 59.00.
The addition of Iyer will give more strength to this side.
In the league stage of the tournament, Mumbai ended the tourney as the second placed team with four wins in six games.

Mumbai will play their quarterfinal contest on February 21 at the Palam Ground. Their opposition team is yet to be decided.
The first quarterfinal will be played at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium between Hyderabad and Karnataka.
The third quarterfinal will also be played at Kotla between Saurashtra and Baroda.
The four quarterfinal game will be played at Palam Ground.
